Welcome to Vasp Track (vasptrack.org), operated by Cogentic. By accessing or using our website, API, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Vasp Track is an open registry of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs). The Service aggregates publicly available data about these entities, including:

• Regulatory status and licensing information
• Composite risk scores based on public data
• Travel Rule protocol readiness
• Corporate information sourced from public registries (GLEIF, regulator registers, etc.)
• Community-submitted data and corrections

The Service is available via a website at vasptrack.org and a public API at /api/v1.

2. Information Disclaimer

The information provided through Vasp Track is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial advice, legal advice, compliance advice, or any other form of professional advice.

• Risk scores are computed from publicly available data using automated methods and should not be the sole basis for compliance or business decisions.
• Regulatory status information is aggregated from public sources and may not reflect the most current status of any entity.
• You should independently verify all information before relying on it for any purpose.
• Vasp Track does not endorse, recommend, or vouch for any VASP or CASP listed in the directory.

3. User Accounts and Submissions

Submitting Data

Users may submit information about VASPs and CASPs through the Service. When submitting data, you represent and warrant that:

• The information you submit is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
• You have the right to submit such information.
• Your submission does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.

Licence Grant for Submitted Data

By submitting data to Vasp Track, you grant Cogentic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute the submitted data as part of the Service. You retain any rights you hold in the data you submit.

Profile Claiming

VASP representatives may claim their organisation's profile through email domain verification. When claiming a profile, you represent that you are authorised to act on behalf of the organisation. Cogentic reserves the right to revoke claims that appear fraudulent or unauthorised.

4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Vasp Track aggregates data from multiple public sources, including government registers, open data APIs, and community submissions. While we strive for accuracy:

• We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of any information.
• Data may be outdated, incomplete, or contain errors.
• Enrichment data is sourced from third parties (GLEIF, CoinGecko, Wikidata, regulator registers, and others) and is subject to those sources' own accuracy and availability.
• Risk scores are algorithmically computed and may not capture all relevant factors.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or access the website through automated means except through the provided API, and only within the published rate limits.
• Misrepresent Vasp Track data as originating from another source when displaying or distributing it.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical measures.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any entity or individual listed in the directory.
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious data.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service or interfere with other users.

6. API Usage

Access to the Vasp Track API is subject to the Fair Usage Policy. Continued use of the API constitutes acceptance of the Fair Usage Policy in addition to these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

• Vasp Track branding: The Vasp Track name, logo, and associated branding are the property of Cogentic. You may not use these without prior written permission, except to attribute data sourced from the Service.
• User submissions: You retain ownership of any data you submit. The licence granted in Section 3 allows us to use submitted data as part of the Service.
• Aggregated data: Factual data aggregated from public sources is presented as-is. Our compilation, organisation, risk scoring methodology, and presentation of that data are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cogentic, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Decisions made based on information provided by the Service.
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the data.
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
• Service interruptions or unavailability.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cogentic, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your submission of inaccurate or misleading data.
• Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

10. Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practical, provide notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 7, 8, 9, and 11) shall survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
