Our Mission
Vasp Track is a free-to-use, community project supported by Cogentic. We believe compliance data should be open and accessible to all.
Compliance data for crypto shouldn't be locked behind enterprise paywalls. Vasp Track exists to make counterparty due diligence accessible to everyone — from solo compliance officers to global institutions.
What We Stand For
Every data point is sourced from public, verifiable records. No proprietary black boxes.
Every field is traceable to its source. You can see exactly where each piece of information came from and when it was last updated.
No pay-to-play listings. No preferential treatment. Trust scores are computed from public data, not commercial relationships.
Data Sources
8 public data sources
Cross-referenced against GLEIF, CoinGecko, regulator registers, sanctions lists, and more.
Automated enrichment
Every record is enriched with LEIs, risk scores, addresses, and Travel Rule protocol support.
Full provenance
Every field is tagged with its source. No black boxes — you can verify any data point yourself.
We cross-reference entities against the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) database to obtain LEIs, registered addresses, legal forms, registration authority details, and incorporation dates.
Verified LEI: An exact match confirmed by GLEIF — the LEI is definitively assigned to this entity.
Unverified LEI: A probable match found via name search. Displayed for reference but not yet confirmed.
Exchange trust scores, trading volumes, logos, descriptions, and founding years are sourced from CoinGecko. Trust scores (0–10) are based on liquidity, trading volume, and operational transparency.
We integrate licence and registration data from 29 official regulator registers across 36 jurisdictions, including FinCEN (US), FINTRAC (Canada), AMF (France), BaFin (Germany), ESMA (EU/MiCA), AUSTRAC (Australia), MAS (Singapore), and more.
Travel rule thresholds, required PII fields, and reporting obligations for 208 jurisdictions are powered by our open-source crypto-travel-rules package. Travel Rule protocol support per VASP (TRISA, Notabene, TRUST, TRP, Sygna) is sourced from the TRISA Global Directory and Notabene API.
View crypto-travel-rules on GitHubEvery entity is screened against OFAC SDN (US Treasury), UN Consolidated Sanctions, EU Consolidated Sanctions, and UK OFSI Sanctions List. Matches result in an automatic risk score of 100 (Severe).
Entities are monitored daily for adverse media mentions via the GDELT global news index, covering 4,500+ news sources in 100+ languages. Candidate articles are classified by AI to determine relevance and severity (low, medium, high, critical). Categories include hacks, fraud, enforcement actions, lawsuits, and sanctions. False positives are reviewed and dismissed by editors.
Anyone can submit updates or new VASP entries. Submissions go through email verification and editorial review before being published. VASP representatives can also claim their profile by verifying their work email, giving them priority access to manage their entity's data.
Enrichment Process
We automatically enrich records by cross-referencing entity names and identifiers against public data sources. Each enriched field is tagged with its source for transparency.

Data Freshness
Enrichment pipelines run periodically to keep records current. Each VASP page shows a "Last updated" timestamp. Community submissions are processed as they arrive.
Privacy & Data Handling
- All data is about legal entities, not individuals.
- Submitter emails are stored securely and used only for verification and communication about submissions.
- We do not track users, serve ads, or share data with third parties.
- Source data comes exclusively from public registries and community contributions.
Help Improve the Data
Vasp Track is a community effort. If you spot incorrect or missing information:
- Add a new VASP that isn't in the directory yet
- Use the "Submit an update" button on any VASP page to propose corrections
- Claim your VASP profile — click "Claim profile" on your entity's page and verify with your work email (must match the company domain). Once verified, your updates are prioritized for review.
